The Moon & Sixpence
Cottage Rental on Salt Spring Island, BC
The Moon and Sixpence cottage provides an enchanting sojourn to the heart of "islandness" with a South Seas flavour.
Named for W. Somerset Maugham's novel based on the life of French painter Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), this inspired cottage is bright and colourful with a warm wood interior.
The main kitchen, dining and living room area is dominated by the beautifully painted Tahitian figures skillfully rendered in the style of Gauguin by SaltSpring artist Jude Harper.
A large bedroom offers a sea view from the queen size bed through the leaded glass door, with floor to ceiling windows looking across a very large wrap-around deck to Fulford Harbour.
Tucked away in a private, screened corner of the deck, enjoy a bath under the stars in our outdoor soaker tub for two!
